Forsee Vineyards and Winery
Forsee Vineyards and Winery is truly a family affair. In fact, our entire family is involved in the many facets of growing and picking grapes, producing wine or marketing and advertising. We are supporters of the Illinois wine industry and generate our wines from the grapes grown here at the vineyard or from other Illinois growers. Our friends and neighbors are also involved by picking the grapes and sharing the wine they helped to produce with their friends and families. We use local businesses when needed and all this, in turn, supports our community.
Villa Marie Winery and Banquet Center
Piasa Winery was started in 1992 and is the 12th winery to be licensed within the state of Illinois. In 2007, Piasa Winery was sold to Judy Wiemann who also owns Villa Marie Winery. All of the grapes come from Jersey, Macoupin, and Madison counties. The winemaker, Linda F. Unnerstall, will continue the mission of producing premium wine made from the finest Illinois grown grapes...

"Best Small Plates" Erato On Main
Nachos
"With what seems like an endless supply of Southern-infused tricks at the ready, Erato chef Kevin Willmann continues to surprise us, turning an item that might seem a little ho-hum -- nachos -- into something extraordinary. He's replaced the soggy, gut-busting slog of corn chips and canned cheese with crisply fried sweet potatoes topped with the tangy one-two punch of blue cheese and a drizzle of red pepper ketchup... and bacon. Frankly, we think bacon makes everything better, and when it's deliciously chewy, house-made bacon, we're totally sold."
